Gary and James formed a close working relationship undertaking corporate finance assignments whilst working together at a global advisory firm. Out of this relationship they formed Paragon Advisors. More detail provided below:

Director

Gary Ivory

Gary has over 35 years experience in the field of corporate finance and has initiated and
participated in assignments including company mergers and acquisitions, major project and structured financings, public listings, private debt and equity raising, and management buy-outs.

Most recently Gary was a Partner and national head of M&A at KPMG New Zealand, where he was a Partner for more than 20 years. Gary has an extensive knowledge of many companies in New Zealand and maintains an extensive network of business contacts.

Director

James Peterson

James has over 20 years of experience working in corporate finance across New Zealand, Europe and Asia. During this time, James has led and participated in multiple transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity funding events.

James has worked at KPMG in New Zealand and in the UK, and more recently held a range of senior positions at the global technology firm Xplor Technologies LLC. Whilst at Xplor, James worked closely on the sale of Xplor to a global private equity fund, whilst also playing a key role in executing bolt-on acquisitions.
